Every year at Easter, our church puts up a cross
(covered in chicken wire to hold the flowers)
There were always flowers of some sort at the house to bring
Look close in the background, much of the church property
was an apricot orchard which appears to be in full bloom
and what's another Easter without hats, gloves,
matching purse... I'm betting our shoes were white too!
We attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Sunnyvale
in fact, Lori was baptized there.
Another year, and it's hat's, gloves, white shoes, too
Mom has the hat, but us girls....
no gloves, no hat, and black shoes?
Good thing the Fashion Police weren't around this year!
I remember Lori's coat, it was so soft
(and I think I resurrected Mom's hat for a
Halloween costume in the 80s?!)
